Outcomes won't define you . . . your persistence and process will.
Coach David provides 20+ years of
continuous experiences and passion
towards the DEVELOPMENT of 8U through college-aged players.
(Please read quotes).
His consistent reminder
as a father of 4 middle-childhood kids
is that they are NOT mini-adults.
Player development is through empowered choices provided,
vs being told how to play.
It fosters our player-centric and creative environment.
With this mindset the uncomfortable becomes less-feared,
in fact embraced with newfound confidence.
Development = Instincts. (a.k.a. Hockey IQ) .
Also transferrable to life.
The DK Hockey result is mental and physical development.
As life, each process is a building block towards the next.
Process vs. Outcome.
* Success is despondent upon the attitude a participant provides.
If he/she struggles with coaching or as a team player, this development is not a good choice. Our focus is players seeking improvement vs. simply going through the motions.
Development Knowledge Hockey is a continuous collaboration with developers, coaches and players from:
USA Hockey, Finland, Czech Republic, Globally ranked AAA Teams, up through the National Hockey League.
Additional contributions from sports and children psychologists, pediatricians and parents of kids who have played both recreationally and professionally . . . and what they learned along their journey.
Respected leaders - some within groups utilizing Millions of dollars and resources - whom understand the constant change and evolution of youth mindsets and development... all articulated to your player!
" Kids can be challenging and have to push boundaries as they learn their way. I like the way you are able to manage them when doing so, but in a way that they know you care.
It seems like a gift you have to show care and respect at the same time of structure.
Anytime you offer future coaching
we will be recommending you and signing up. Thank you.

"We wanted to reach out to let you know
that tryouts were yesterday and
Reed made the A team!
It was your coaching and extra time
that helped him gain more
self-confidence and experience.
Thank you so much for what you do.
We look forward to seeing you
over the winter at the next camp!"

" I just want to thank you for the time and effort you put into the development of your camp this summer! The growth I have seen in my boys' has been astronomical!
Their skating, skills and overall confidence improved greatly. My boys have had such a positive experience to the point where they are actively looking for you at the rink to say hi :)
This just goes to show the level of coaching
with adult / kid communication and relationship building you provide.
So thank you again for your style of
coaching and commitment to the kids."

"Tyler had such a great time at camp!
You created a fun learning environment he always looked forward to.
Although each player had
different levels of experience,
you encouraged falling and
not being the fastest.
That really resonated with Tyler.
It inspired him to try new things
while developing new skills (at home also!)
Thanks for helping to grow his confidence
with all the time & effort you placed
in camp each day."
- Amy T.

Thank you!"
